The Pepper miracle

Sadness swept over Newton Avenue with the discovery early one morning that the hutch had been knocked over and Pepper was gone. Salt was found cowering in the back, but we assumed that either a fox had got her, or she had made a run for it through the door that was now wide open.

We were all pretty devastated until a knock on the door two days later. One of our neighbours was standing there with Pepper asking if she was ours!!!! Apparently she had been found wandering around near the road. Now I’m no specialist in the food chain in Australia, but am pretty sure it was pretty amazing that she hadn’t been caught by something. Happy house again.
