Toothless

Think the video tells the story

Basically, his adult front tooth hadn't started to come down in the space where he knocked one out years ago, and so the dentist reckoned it might be worth helping the process along.....

Dodo latest

Just a quick update from Smethwick.

Last couple of times we've been to see Dodo haven't been much fun. She is still very confused as dementia properly kicks in. The sad bit is that she gets upset and seems to think she is being ignored. This is because she doesn't eat properly at the moment and spits a lot out and throws it around, so they feed her separately - so I suppose to her this feels like she isn't being looked after properly. She also seems to get quite upset every ten minutes or so, but at least she knows who we are and is comforted by the visits.

Sorry I don't have better news but wanted to let you know the latest.

Christmas has been and gone.....

So time to catch up with the blog. So to start with Christmas morning.....

Quite a fun Christmas morning, no real rush through the pressies and of course we had the video chat on which was fun We had a proper Christmas lunch for the four of us and then we whizzed to see the Dode's. Dodo on good form, didn't seem to want to open presents but was happy.

After this we went to Jo and Nevs for tea - Pete and Gwen were there as well so more pressies!!

28th we went to Great Rollright for a couple of days. Sara and the kids went to to the Chipping Norton pantomime with all the other 'Williams' while I was in charge of picking them up and arranging a Chinese. David Cameron (Tory leader) was at the panto and spoke to me as he left......he said shift!!!

The it was time to get ready for a New Years Eve party. We'd set a Spanish theme so had to get the red and yellow decorations up, balloons, bunting etc. and of course we had to sort out costumes.  People started arriving at 8 and we had the usual modern day festivities of Wii olympics and flamenco dancing....

Flan Dina and Milla came along...

At 12 the tradition is to eat a grape for each of the 'bongs' of the clock. Don't know if the bongs are faster or slower in Spain, but wasn't as easy as people expected..

HAPPY   NEW   YEAR
