Ode to Barry Island

Quick post on our day out today...many more photos to come of other trips and Sara's sculpting masterclass.

Well not exactly an ode, more a couple of pictures. Me, Cam & Pops (forget the gramar lecture) went to Barry Island this morning and had a great time wandering about the beach and climbing up the rocks. Despite it being a bank holiday it wasn't too busy which helped. After the trip to Barry we stopped off at a small MVCG show, how bizarre.

Hot Hot Hot

Hot in Stuttgart today - and no airconditioning in the office. Apparently gets hotter.

There was a fun run at the kids school at the weekend, so we went along. Sara ran a coffee stall so unfortunately I couldn't run as I had to look after the kids...

Then popped over to the Dode's. They both seemed well. I'm going to take them to Wylde Green next weekend hopefully and try out the electric chair. Cammy and I went to look at it on Saturday and it seems a good idea to me, not sure if Dodo is that fussed.

Looking forward to the hotel tonight. a, I'm very tired after the early flight and b, I can have a cold bath.

Sammys Birthday

To celebrate Sammy's (and pommie grannie's) birthday we went to the Thinktank in Brum. Plenty to see and do, all the good stuff from the old Science Museum, including the famed Chance's Glass lighthouse.

Had a picnic inside including the obligatory sing song...not that they wanted to sing much by the sound of it......

Kids seemed to enjoy it...

The Happiness Show

Arrived back from the US at 07:00 on Friday at Heathrow, so faced a birthday drive up the motorway. Had to stop half way for a kip, but other than that a quick trip and back home for 10:30ish.
Picked the kids up from school, went for a Pizza and then off to the Hippodrome - dropping the kids off at Natalies on the way for a sleepover. We were off to see the professor of chuckles - Ken Dodd.

He is still very funny, but unfortunately had the cheesiest support acts who came on while he had a rest, well he is 79. The interval wasn't until 10:30 and on the basis of his reputation, we thought we'd slip out rather than be 'locked in' 'til 1 in the morning. A sample....why did the blonde spend three hours staring at the carton of orange juice...it said concentrate!!

Back to nomral today, Melissa started at the Little Gym while I took Cammy to see Spiderman 3.

Birthday Greetings

Happy birthday from all at Morecroft Way.

As tradition dictates your gift is on its way and will arrive shortly.

Hope you're enjoying the delights of Washington

Washington DC

Been here a couple of days now. Got to the Hotel at about 3pm and decided to go straight to DC to avoid napping! Took about an hour to get there but worth it, beautiful weather - think I got a bit burnt - and pretty impressive. Saw the usual suspects.

The Whitehouse

Me (you knew that) at the memorial

The speech Forrest Gump did was in front of that building - took this cos I liked the ducks. Hard to tell from the photo but above that ledge is the long lake.
