Gingerbread men

Cammy has found a new cooking challenge...Gingerbread. Armed with a new book with a good recipe in he made us all some lovely Gingerbread this morning, particularly nice while it was still warm and the middle bit soft. We the took it over to Fraser and Gemma's so they could help us decorate them, and help us eat them of course...

Happy Birthday Melissa

Another Birthday for Melissa, nearly 9. To celebrate she wanted a 'Build a Bear' party so we waited for the girls to arrive then headed over to Southland.

Once there, the girls had to choose a bear and then help to stuff it, name it and then choose an accessory.

Melissa certainly seemed to enjoy 'shopping' with her mates.

At last all of the bears were ready.

Great fun for all, followed by an ice cream at Macdonalds, a short trip home, a few pressies and then Birthday tea.

O.M.G.

OMG. "You'll have to wait until you're 16" Sara always used to say, well stuff that, Melissa had her ears pierced today. Shock drama.

We hadn't told her, just took her into Franger, and her face was a picture when she realised what was going on.

Pioneer camp

Another camp for Cammy, this time a general one with the intention of working towards his pioneer badge. He seems to have a renewed interest now he has his green book back.

Pearcedale Sanctuary

Hadn't been here before, Pearcedale Sanctuary just up the road. It's a great place, specially for wallabies.

Lovely location and a nice way to spend the Queens Birthday - yes it's a public holiday in Oz.

Guide biscuits

It's that time of year when the guides raise money selling their biscuits. Sara and melissa had voluntered for a couple of Saturdays on the trot.

Abseiling Camp

Fun scout camp this weekend, up near Yea, abseiling. Early start on Sat for Cammy and a bit of a hike at the other end. They then set up camp before lighting the traditional camp fire. On Sunday they then had the fund of abseiling down a 50m rockface.....
