Bits & Bobs

Not a lot interesting happening here. Melissa is at Ballet at the moment. Cammy is at a Saturday morning club, called Arts & Crafts, but mainly consists of running around in a playground.

I've finally got round to buying an iPod, so am busy copying DVD's onto it. I decided to only burn the audio as I am more likely to end up just listening to it, and it work fine with things like Fry & Laurie and The Office. I'm using WireTap which simply records whatever the Mac is playing so is simple enough.

Looks like I'm going to have a couple of weeks in Detroit, which could be interesting - Motor City.

Sara is now having piano lessons on Tuesdays, hords and all sorts. I shall try and keep up, but.......

Cammy's new bike

Our blog seems to be all about Cammy at the mo, but then it has been his birthday so no real surprises. Here then is his new bike. Seems huge but the 20" wheel ones were mainly too small and now that he is used to it this one is fine. So we went off for a blast at Kingsbury Water Park. Lots of open roads to explore the joys of gears!!

Pops has been a bit poorly for the last couple of days. She was up in the night on Thursday with a rotten fever & sickness and spent most of Friday in bed. Thankfully she seems to have shaken it off and was nearly back to normal today. Rest of us okay....

Back in my stride

Much better couple of days out here in Disney...back delivering good old material that I know well and always seems to work okay. We played a sticklebrick game with them which gets a bit of energy going.

Last night we went into Disney Studios. Great entrance as they had loads of the characters there to meet us, e.g. Woody, Jessie, Mr & Mrs Incredible, Mickey, Sully, Lilo, Stitch.....not to mention a free bar. We then got the evening in the park, although without the stunt show there isn't actually a lot to do in there. I did get to go on one of rollercoasters we missed out on last time, super fast...

Into DiscoveryLand tomorrow night, which means some more goes on the Buzz Lightyear ride. Not sure if it will seem the same without the little ones.

Melissa's first day at school

Taken in her stride..... that's my girl! But then she had been to the school nursery last year and her teacher is the same. Mother wasn't quite as cool and did shed a tear, especially when Cammy came to say goodbye and gave her a kiss. Mind you, I wasn't as bad as some mums. Sorry, there is supposed to be a photo, but Blogger not playing the game at moment.

I made the most of my day and met Jo in Solihull, for lunch and a bit of a shop.

Big storm here today, apparently a house in Penns Lane was struck by lightening and was burning as people came to school to fetch kids. Hearsay is that it was one of Melissa's classmates house! Scarey!!!

A Taxing Day

Back in Disneyland, but this time delivering training on Supply Chain Effectiveness as part fo bit PwC shindig. Was always going to be a challenge as this is such a big subject and I only had a few weeks to prepare material, but I held out hope that the audience wouldn't be too conversant with some of the more generic issues. Sadly, I have a bunch of experts, including one who is part way through his PhD!!

We are currently half way through a session on tax - not presented by me thankfully - and for some reason they have turned on him. He's getting a grilling for no real reason.

Oh, and my co-presenter for tomorrow is stuck at an airport in the UK. Bum-Poo.

Not enough time....

....and too much to do.

Works gone a bit hectic, phone keeps ringing with 'can you help' requests and I've only just started saying no. Have nearly got the training material ready that I need for next weeks course in Disneyland. Will probably work on it this evening - while England play Macedonia - so that I get it to the document people to print off 50 copies during tomorrow.

Summer's Over

Well, it was Cammy's first day back at school today, "top infants" now! He took it in his stride, as ever, but I found it quite hard this morning for some reason and was quite morose for the morning. Poor Melissa didn't know what had hit her, losing her partner in crime and having a miserable mother. Still, we all survived the day.
Bizarrely (re: the title), the weather was warm and sunny today!

Off to Wroclaw

Okay, so I don't really know where it is other than somewhere in Poland. I'm visiting a factory that is considering using us for performance improvement, but doubt it to be honest. Either way, should be interesting; never been to Poland.

Happy Fathers Day to our Dads

Hi Dads, and any other readers, today is Fathers Day in some parts of the world so we thought we ought to add a special trubute message....

Hope all Dad's have a great day, but especially ours, Love Sara and Sammy

Digging about with Elsie

Elsie and I were looking for a duvet cover in the spare room and found the box of slides. Most were unfortunately framed piccies of various coach trips, but a few good ones. I'll save a few for other blogs to keep you all on tenterhooks..

Lazy Days

Well we've had one or two lazy days since Conkers, doing things like; watching 'Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets', going up to Kingsbury Water Park to meet some friends, going swimming and having some friends round to play.
Cameron has just rediscovered the recorder that he is going to be learning at school and is doing a very original rendition of "Over the Rainbow" - I think!
Melissa finally agreed she needed to catch up with some sleep today and had an hours kip.
Sam is at work still but has got fed up with the bus this week and driven in, hey up, he's home! See you!
