Giddy Up Go.....

Spooky.

Went into OneSteel's site today, okay I probably shouldn't have, but you know.....

Anyhow, when in the despatch yard a truck pulled it, amazingly with Giddy Up Go emblazoned across the front. Considering Dad and I have had it written on our cars for nearly twenty years and never seen it on anything else in all that time, very spooky time for it to appear to me.

Not part of the plan

Sadly, Grandfer passed away tonight at around 2 am. He had his second stroke just over a week ago and this time he wasn't able to beat it.

Hard to know if he could hear us when we were in the room, and to be honest I can't decide if I prefer it if he could or couldn't. The occasional squeeze of the hand in response to a "How you doing mate" makes you think he is conscious, but the idea of being trapped inside a struggling body doesn't bear thinking about. It did however mean we all had our chance to properly say goodbye to a great Dad.

Cheers Mate, rest in peace
