Bound to happen...

...just as we are about to jet off to an Australian Winter, the UK weather picks up.

It was lovely most of this weekend, decent sunshine and reasonably warm. We went out on a few bike rides, with Melissa showing off her new found 'no stabilisers' talent. Nice just to do the simple things as a family.

Obviously also spent time packing and sorting out - getting there I think.

Last news, Dodo seemed very well when I visited with Cammy. She is definitely getting around better at the moment and seems to have benefited from the physio that she has had in the respite home. Plan is for her to go home on Monday.

Anyway, am out in Germany for the last time prior to the trip.......

Little Gym Show Week

It was show week at Little Gym this week - basically means they all get to do their routines and show us all how well they have done. Melissa and Cammy have both worked hard this year at their gymnastics, perfecting forward rolls and some super jumps over the 'horse'.

Melissa started off show week with some hula hoop skills.


I only had my camera at Melissa's show week, so we asked Cammy to jump about a bit for a photo......

Outstanding

At the end of the school year they have an awards ceremony. Some of the certificates are given for getting involed, e.g. being in the choir, but one child in each class gets the award for outstanding academic progress, just the one mind you. So imagine how pleased we were when Cameron and Melissa both got the awards for their classes.

A return to Fairford

I dread to think how long ago it was last time, but I finally returned to Fairford this year. I'll put a proper blog on later when I have a mo, but thought I'd post a couple of pics to get you started...needless to say, 'noisy' is the best way to summarise the show..

Summer Fayre

A great circus at the Summer fayre this year, tempted to put juggling and balancing photos in, but thought you'd rather see the expressions of the kids as they cheered the clowns on....

Nat and Sara helped out as usual...Nat ending up a little squiffy whilst supervising the Pimms tent........

99 Today

Happy Birthday to Dodo who reaches the ripe old age of 99 today!!!!

Trip to Rhossili

Quick trip away to mark out tenth wedding anniversary - back to Rhossili in South Wales. (we went there in '93!!)

It's a great location but unfortunately the weather was rubbish, which was a shame as the main reason for visiting this part of Wales is to walk the coastal paths. Also meant the kites didn't get a run out.

Still, it was nice to get a bit of time together - the kids went to Auntie Jo's for the weekend and had plenty to do, a Rainbow's campfire, swimming, fun-run and birthday party were all jammed into a packed agenda. They were pretty tired by the time we picked them up.
